Accessibility Statement

Last updated: May 26, 2026

1. Our Commitment

Parallel is committed to making our service usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We design and build with accessibility in mind, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing responsibility — not a one-time project.

We aim to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard widely referenced under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice for digital services.

2. Conformance Status

Parallel substantially conforms with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. "Substantially conforms" means most content meets the standard, with limited exceptions noted below.

In April 2026, we completed a full accessibility audit of the Parallel app and remediated 13 identified issues across 60+ files. Improvements included:

We test with axe DevTools, Lighthouse, and manual screen reader checks (VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows) on key user flows.

3. Known Limitations

Despite our efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations include:

If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please let us know — we treat accessibility issues as bugs and prioritize fixes.

4. Compatible Technologies

Parallel is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies, used with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge):

5. Reporting Accessibility Issues

If you experience a barrier accessing any part of Parallel, we want to hear from you. We aim to respond to accessibility reports within 5 business days.

Please include: the page or feature where you encountered the issue, the assistive technology you were using (if any), and a description of what happened.

6. Formal Complaints

If you would like to file a formal complaint, you may contact us using the email above. We are committed to working with users in good faith to resolve accessibility issues. You also retain any legal rights you may have under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state laws.

7. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is not a destination. We will continue to audit, test, and improve. This statement was last reviewed on the date above and will be updated as our practices and the underlying app evolve.
