By accessing or using Parallel ("the Service," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and PARALLEL VIP LLC, a Washington limited liability company.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and are responsible for keeping that information updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not share your account with any other person or create multiple accounts. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate any account that contains inaccurate, misleading, or fraudulent information.
Parallel uses a third-party identity verification service (currently Persona Technologies, Inc.) to verify user identities. Verification is optional but verified users receive a visible checkmark on their profile. By completing verification, you consent to the collection and processing of your government-issued ID and biometric data by our verification partner, subject to their privacy policy and our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Verified status may be revoked if we detect fraudulent activity.

Parallel requires a paid subscription to access your matches. By subscribing, you agree to the following:
You retain ownership of content you post on Parallel (photos, bio, messages). By posting content, you grant Parallel a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the Service. You represent that you have the right to grant this license and that your content does not violate any third party's rights.
We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines without notice.
Parallel is not responsible for the conduct of its users on or off the Service. Meeting someone in person always carries risk. We strongly recommend meeting in public places, telling a friend where you are going, and trusting your instincts. You can report concerning behavior at any time using the report function on any user's profile.
All content, features, and functionality of the Service (excluding user-generated content) are owned by PARALLEL VIP LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT YOU WILL FIND A MATCH OR THAT ANY MATCH WILL RESULT IN A RELATIONSHIP.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PARALLEL VIP LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THESE TERMS OR YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE THREE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its Streamlined Arbitration Rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property disputes. Arbitration shall take place in King County, Washington. YOU AGREE TO WAIVE YOUR RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OR CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION.
Washington and California residents retain their statutory rights to the extent they cannot be waived under applicable law.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the app at least 30 days before changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
